PACIFIC SPORTS COMPASS: Strengthening Sport for Development in the Pacific
This publication on The Pacific Sports Compass was developed in partnership with the UNESCO and the Oceania National Olympic Committees and was produced for the Sixth International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS VI) that took place in Kazan, Russian Federation from 13-15 July 2017. The publication was produced with the assistance of the European Union and Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat through the Strengthening Non-State Actors (NSAs) Engagement in Regional Policy Development and Implementation Programme.
WHY SPORT MATTERS: Sport for development in Australia, the Pacific and Asia
Sport Matters launched a new report on sport for development at Parliament House in Canberra on 18 June 2014. The report was officially launched by Sport Matters Chair Michael Pilbrow & CEO Jackie Lauff together with Sport Matters Champions Liesl Tesch, Pat Farmer and Luke Ablett. ‘Why Sport Matters: Sport for development in Australia, the Pacific and Asia’ features case studies from a host of Australian organisations using sport to contribute to outcomes in health, gender equality, social inclusion, children & youth, and people with disabilities. It also includes the latest sport for development research from the Pacific.

Sport Matters is governed by a Board of Directors. Our Board brings a wealth of experience in the corporate, public service and not for profit sectors in Sport, Governance, International Development, Gender, Disability Inclusive Development and Advocacy.
